HP Opens New Revenue Opportunities for Qualified Partners with Flexible Storage Services

HP today extended its HP ServiceONE program with a new storage services support model that will enable qualified partners to expand into high-growth storage markets and boost profitability.

According to IDC, the volume of digital content is set to grow to 2.7 zetabytes worldwide this year, up 48 percent from 2011(1) – making storage an enticing growth market. To fully capitalize on this opportunity, partners need flexible and financially attractive support and service offerings.

The HP ServiceONE Partner Support program enables qualified partners to pursue new business opportunities by combining HP and partner-branded services to bolster their portfolios.

Using the HP ServiceONE Partner Support for Storage program, qualified partners can improve the customer experience by offering access to HP support tools, intellectual capital and training for delivering branded design, management and support services for HP storage offerings.

“Channel partners need new ways to deliver storage solutions that help modernize infrastructures, tackle growing data and embrace emerging computing models such as cloud,” said David Twohy, vice president, Global Channels, Technology Services, HP. “HP allows partners to expand into the revenue-generating services business with HP’s backing, providing the support their customers need to optimize their storage infrastructures for greater business flexibility.”

Flexible options designed for diverse partner needs

HP ServiceONE is the industry’s only partner program to offer three engagement models:

  • HP Branded Services, Sales-only – Partners can sell HP-branded services, while HP delivers the support.
  • HP Branded Services, Sales and Delivery – Partners can sell and deliver HP-branded support and services.
  • Partner Branded Services with HP Support – Partners can brand services for sale and delivery, backed by HP’s world-class support.

The HP ServiceONE Partner Support for Storage program includes HP 3PAR and HP LeftHand disk systems, HP StoreOnce backup systems and HP EVA Disk Arrays. HP plans to extend the program to other technologies in the future.

HP ServiceONE Partner Support for Storage is expected to be available for select partners beginning in March, with broad availability over the course of the year. More information is available through HP partner sales representatives or via email at ServiceONEPartnerSupport@hp.com.
